 Starting rate $22.01/hour. Pay Increase to $26.79/hour after 1 year

Interstate Waste Services is the most progressive and innovative provider of solid waste and recycling services in the country! We primarily service Northern New Jersey, Southern New York State, New York City, and recently expanded our operations of transfer stations into Pennsylvania and Ohio, where we also own and operate a state-of-the-art rail-served landfill. Under general supervision: 

• Perform repairs and apply welding processes.  
• Perform related work such as flame cutting, bending, forming, beveling, notching of metal Perform all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs). 

• Work from prints, drawings and verbal instructions. 
• Perform standard layouts and set-ups of dimensions and tolerances.  
• Utilize standard shop hand tools, measuring devices and equipment. 
• Perform other maintenance related work as required. 
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards. 
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Experience in welding processes such as MIG, stick, and torch welding on a variety of materials. 
• Knowledge of safety procedures and practices necessary while operating  
• Skill in operating tools equipment, parts and procedures utilized during the repair  
• Lift 50 lbs
