Essential Job Summary:

The Safety Data Specialist is responsible for collecting, entering, and maintaining, safety-related data to support the organization’s safety programs and compliance efforts. This role ensures accurate recordkeeping and timely reporting in order to effectively communicate safety metrics to internal stakeholders

  • Data Entry & Management
    • Accurately enter, update and maintain data for compliance tracking of training and medical information for all field employees (approximately 2,500 employees)
    • Prepare and sort documents for data entry
    • Maintain up-to-date and organized safety documentation and logs.
    • Verify data by comparing it to source documents and ensuring accuracy

 

  • Reporting & Analysis
    • Generate regular and ad hoc safety reports for management review.
    • Assist in preparing documentation for audits and inspections.
  • Administrative Support
    • Maintain filing systems (digital and physical) for safety records.
    • Administrative duties including filing, typing, mailing, phone communication, etc.
    • Create and manage training cards/ documentation as needed for work in NYC.
    • Develop a positive working relationship with both internal and external customers.
    • Performance of other duties and responsibilities as required by management.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–2 years of experience in an administrative or data entry role, Proven experience as a data entry admin or similar position
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel); experience with safety management systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Salary Range Minimum

USD $21.63/Hr.

Salary Range Maximum

USD $28.85/Yr.
