The position works with IWS technology to collect and validate waste survey information and partners with operations and data analysts to investigate results. The role also includes coaching drivers and helpers on proper procedures and preparing reports for management, clients, or regulatory bodies.

What You’ll Learn

This isn’t a desk job. You’ll be in the field learning how the operation works firsthand.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Work alongside Operations, Dispatch, Drivers, Helpers, and other teams
  • Use technology to collect, analyze, and validate operational data

Requirements and Qualifications:

Who We’re Looking For

We’re less concerned about where you’ve worked before and more interested in how you think, your willingness to learn, and where you want to go.

You may be a great fit if you are:

  • A recent graduate or early in your career
  • Motivated and eager to learn
  • A critical thinker who enjoys figuring things out
  • Comfortable asking questions and taking initiative
  • Organized and attentive to detail
  • Able to work independently and exercise good judgment
  • Comfortable learning and using new technology
  • A strong communicator
  • Interested in operations, logistics, transportation, or business
  • Looking for an opportunity where you can learn, contribute, and grow

Previous experience in transportation, logistics, operations, customer service, field services, warehouse, construction, or other hands-on environments is preferred but not required.

This Role Is Different

You won’t spend your first year sitting on the sidelines.

You’ll learn the operation where it actually happens in the field.

That means working outdoors, interacting with frontline teams, using technology, evaluating real-world situations, solving problems, and learning how operational decisions are made.

The role is based out of Brooklyn, the Bronx, or Jersey City and works an overnight schedule that may include weekends based on business needs. The position also requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions and being willing to inspect and measure waste and recycling materials.

Your Career Starts Here

This role is designed to build the operational knowledge and leadership skills needed to pursue future supervisory opportunities within IWS.

You’ll learn the business from the ground up, gain hands-on experience in field operations, and develop the problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills that are critical to becoming a successful operations leader.
